MLLW(Mean Lower Low Water) - A tidal datum. The average of the lower low water height of each tidal day observed over the National Tidal Datum Epoch.
Its purpose is to provide data for computing accepted values essential to tide predictions and for determining tidal datums for coastal and marine boundaries.
It is called a tidal datum when defined in terms of a certain phase of the tide.
