Tornado Warning- Issued when a tornado is imminent or occurring. This includes when a tornado is indicated by Doppler radar or sighted by spotters. Action: Seek safe shelter immediately.

Tornado Warning (TOR) This is issued when a tornado is indicated by the WSR-88D radar or sighted by spotters; therefore, people in the affected area should seek safe shelter immediately.

Tornado Warning - A tornado has been reported or is being indicated as possible by Doppler radar. Immediate action should be taken for you safety. Follow the DUCK Rule.

Tornado Warning- Issued when there is likelihood of a tornado within the given area based on radar or actual sighting. It is usually accompanied by conditions indicated for Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

Tornado Warning - Issued to warn the public, emergency management and other cooperating agencies when a tornado is forecast to occur or is occurring. The warning will include where the storm was occurring and its direction of movement.

A Tornado Warning is issued by your local National Weather Service office (NWFO). It will include where the tornado was located and what towns will be in its path.

When tornado warnings are issued, members of the public are advised to get into sheltered areas. In most buildings, it is recommended to seek shelter in a central, windowless room or corridor, below ground if possible.

Like a Tornado Warning, the Severe Thunderstorm Warning is issued by your National Weather Service Forecast Office (NWFO).

Don't expect a quick tornado warning when you report the wall cloud, but watch for tornadic wall cloud characteristics. The forecaster and radar operator will also be scanning the storm for tornadic signatures.

Short-fuse warnings include tornado warnings, severe thunderstorm warnings, and flash flood warnings.

Tornadoes sometimes form in mesocyclones. Persistent mesocyclones that have significant vertical extent are detected by Doppler radar as mesocyclone signatures. Tornado warnings may be issued when a mesocyclone signature is detected.
