Wind Chill Advisory- Issued when wind chill temperatures are expected to be 10 to 24F below zero for an extended period of time.
Wind Chill Warning- Issued for dangerous, life-threatening wind chills below minus 25F.

 


Wind Chill Advisory The National Weather Service issues this product when the wind chill could be life threatening if action is not taken. The criteria for this warning varies from state to state.

Wind Chill Advisory- Issued when the wind chill index is expected to be between -25F and -39F for at least 3 hours. This is using the wind chill of the sustained wind, not gusts.

Wind Chill Advisory - Issued when winds of 10 mph or greater are expected to create wind chill factors of 30 degrees below zero or more.
