Backdrop sky should be a FLAT paint. It should not have any brush marks. I found it best to use an 8" long lambswool roller.

Backdrops
TRAINZ. Although advertised as a new feature in TRS2006, in fact backdrops can be used in TRS2004 and possibly even earlier versions of Trainz.

Sometimes modelers like to make backdrops for their layouts. Modelers with larger layouts paint their walls around their layout, while smaller layout modelers often choose to make a plywood backdrop for their layout.

A big blue sky forms a backdrop for a foursome of 4 axle units shifting hoppers in Spring. The SIT yard in Spring has several GP38-2s and GP15s for switching duties, but no SW or MP15 units at all.

Then cut to fit and paste them on your backdrop. Plain black on white prints can be stained or painted to provide cutouts for the backdrop. You can make lots of fence quickly or find buckets of hobby time as a fence builder.

They'll follow in the same principal, notched to hold. In this case, I will not notch all the way through the edge foam frame, to allow for a fairly smooth edge frame, for attaching the backdrop and fascia.
