Bend the Rails

"Bend the Rails"
To re-align or re-set the movable rails on a turnout. Change the position of a track switch.

Bend the Rails - Turn the switch in the track; change position of turnout.
Big Boy - Popular name for largest team locomotive, the 4-8-8-4 Union Pacific.
Big Hook - A wrecking crane.
Big Wheel - A rotary snowplow.

Another easy bit of different trackwork is the stub turnout. The frog is standard, but you bend the rails to route the train down the other track. (See Figure C).
