Big Hook Slang term for a heavy-duty derrick or crane railcar, often called a wrecking crane. Big C Slang term for a conductor. (from the Order of Railway Conductors).
Big Hook - A wrecking crane. Big Wheel - A rotary snowplow. Bill of Lading - A form describing freight, its charges and destination in detail. Bleed - To drain the air from the brake system of a car or cars.
A crane used in wreck train service. Also called Big Hook or Wrecker. Hopper An open top car with hinged trap doors and inclined floors which permits quick unloading of bulk commodities.
