I've now attached the combination cylinder and pilot castings to the front of the mech. Now if you've been reading along you already know that I mentioned the telling of some stories about filing. Here goes.

Another rapid prototyping services system is urethane castings. Urethane castings take the process to be slightly higher and detailed level. It produces a more durable model of plastic mold. This model actually simulates production material.

1" wide were ACCed to the casting between the disks. The next step was to apply a wrapper. Strips of 0.010 styrene were cut as wide as the filler strips were long. A warm bath and a roll over a dowel let me fit the wrap tin place and cut it to fit.

- You can cut a hole in the side of the mountain to provide access to the track inside the tunnel, and then cover the opening with a plaster rock casting or polyurethane rock foam cut to fit the opening.

Here I placed my rock castings so I could carve the foam around them. This will help to blend the rocks into the scenery .
Here are two overall shots after all of the foam is carved.
