Pullman Style Gangway
The type of corridor connection used between corridor coaches by the SR, LNER and on BR standard steam stock (Mk.1), as well as most Pullman cars.
Gangway Flexible structure provided at vehicle ends where necessary to provide access from one vehicle to another. The gangway is divided between the two adjacent vehicles and is normally closed off when the vehicles are uncoupled.
Often, but not always, passenger cars in a train are linked together with enclosed, flexible gangway connections that can be walked through by passengers and crew members.
