TOFC - A trailer on a flatcar system of intermodal transport on which truck trailers are carried.
Token - Authority for train to enter single line section. Of different forms including wooden staff, electric staff, tablet, key token.

 


Freight car that has a floor without any housing or body above. Frequently used to carry containers and/or trailers or oversized/odd-shaped commodities. Three types of flat cars used in intermodal transportation are conventional, spine and stack cars.

A receptacle that resembles a truck trailer without wheel (chassis) that is lifted onto flat cars. Containers are designed for all modes of intermodal transport. Most containers are 20, 45, 48 or 53 feet in length.
