Kitbashing: A model railroad term referring to the use of one or more prefabricated kits to build a new unique model. Often used for constructing buildings that are unavailable commercially. Or just another fun way of being creative.

 


Kitbashing is a practice in which a new scale model is created by combining elements from existing, commercially-available model kits; these elements may be added to an existing base, or to each other.

Kitbashing is a simple, yet effective way to model something you want that's not available. It also goes by the name cross-kitting, though Kitbash is a more modern term used pretty much exclusively.
