The 2nd Moss Turn would leave Dante with 9000hp and 6000hp Pushing and would usually take 60 to 75 mtys with him and pick-up Raw Coal at Nora that the Nora Turn who went to work at 555AM would leave at Nora.

Used on electrified locomotives and self-propelled cars for current pick-up from the catenary system.

I should also mention that we are scheduled to pick-up 17 cars at Gilman off the east pass; scheduled to anyway. I ask Dispatcher Mike how deep on the number board we are and he tells us we will be there for sometime.

Time equipment is grounded and available for pick-up by the customer.
1. Haul a shipment over part of the reverse route the car traveled with the initial load.
2. Shipment hauled back over part of or the entire route of the car.
3.

Weight will assure better contact between the wheels and the track thus improving both the electrical pick-up and the ability to push the locomotive down the track without spinning.

- Local freights (also called way freights, peddlers and other names) - These do most of the pick-ups and drop-offs (set-outs). It usually stops at every town and leaves some cars and picks up others.

The circuit would be used to prevent relays from "chattering" during brief losses of current flow due to poor current pick-up for example.

Look for models with all-wheel pick-up and all-wheel drive, and also models with flywheels. The flywheels provide momentum and smooth operation and let the locomotive glide over short sections of dirty track inconspicuously.
