* Razor saws are use when cutting large items, such as removing a part of a shell, or cutting off large details. I have a 3 blade set made by Xacto, that fits in the same handle as the blades.

Step 4: Scrape the razor saw along the length of the skewer. Doing this accomplishes two things. First of all it creates the look of bark and secondly it gives the skewer some texture so that it can accept the color from the marker easily.

Use a razor saw to cut the windows into more manageable pieces. Use liquid cement from inside to carefully glue in the windows, taking advantage of capillary action to draw the glue into the joints. Glue sparingly! ...

Bolt cutters have an advantage over something like a razor saw in that they don't usually wear out as easily and will last for years if treated correctly.

Weather them a bit by scuffing with a razor saw or hack saw blade. Paint light grey or tan. Fasten the crossing to the track ties with full strength white glue. Use the same technique to build board side walks and steps.
