Model railroad SectionSectional track

Section Hand
Track worker.
Sectional Track
In model railroading, pieces of track in any scale or gauge manufactured to specific geometric proportions, which can then be joined together in straight lines, curves, and circles.

A section hand.
Johnson Bar
The manual reversing lever on a steam locomotive (usually an older locomotive).

Section Hand - A track worker.
Selective Compression - A modeling technique that gives the impression that there are more buildings in a scene than are really possible.

I worked 5 summers for the Rock Island as a section hand, locomotive fireman (diesel) and switchman. With that background it would seem logical to model the CRI&P. I love the Rock Island but I don't want to model it.
