Track Circuit
An electrical circuit that includes an insulated section of track.

BASIC TRACK CIRCUIT
The basic track circuit provides continuous back and forth operation of the train with diodes and gaps to stop the train at each end of the track.
...

Track Circuit
An electrical circuit of which the rails of the track form a part. The track circuit is the basis of signaling systems.
Track Gauge ...

Track Circuit
An electrical circuit which includes the rails and wheels of the train. Used for controlling signal devices (Fixed signals as well as flashers and gates at crossings).
Track Spike ...

- Track circuit detector- This requires block wiring and detects the presence of a train on the block by the change in current that occurs when the track rolls onto that block.

Impedance Bond An electrical track device used to separate the spent high voltage DC return voltage intended for the substation from the low voltage track circuits or other circuitry. See also AFO.

occupants of these cars were not disturbed at all costs Pumping Signal Any fixed signal including Absolute and Intermediate block signals, who's indications change rapidly from one indication to another and then back again due to track circuit ...

The installation includes automatic line side signals, cab signals or both, actuated by a train or light engine by means of axle counters or track circuits. This is a very basic form of automatic route setting (ARS) UoS.

Dead Frog : Where the crossing vee of a model turnout (point) is moulded of plastic so as to keep the two track circuits through the turnout entirely separate.
Diode : A solid state device which allows electric current to 'flow' in one direction only.

It may not shunt track circuits or operate signals and will be governed by rules and special instructions for trains other than passenger trains. Track Circuit An electrical circuit of which the rails of the track form a part.

Track circuit: An electrical device for proving that a section of track is clear of vehicles, and used in the signalling logic.
Trackside objects: See Wayobjects under "W" below.

A rail joint which arrests the flow of electric current from rail to rail, as at the end of a track circuit, by means of nonconductors separating rail ends and other metal parts.
Rail joint, pumping.

Provides automatic control of signals using electric track circuits. By dividing a track into separate sections (called "blocks") which are insulated from each other electrically, ...

Note that unlike most other current detection circuits, a big advantage of this detector is that the signal delay and logic circuits are completely electrically separate from the track circuit.

Automatic block
A block section in which operation of the signals is fully controlled by track circuits.
Automatic block signal
A signal controlling the entrance to an automatic block.

Auxiliary signal
Early name for a distant signal.

Rail joint, insulated. A rail joint which arrests the flow of electric current from rail to rail, as at the end of a track circuit, by means of nonconductors separating rail ends and other metal parts.

When we remove ohm bugs from the track circuit the performance of ALL trains running on that track is better. Does your budget have limits? Reducing amperes can be expensive. Reducing ohms usually cost less.

However, they did not take this, or the potential for my having to operate at restricted speed owing to the track circuit indication on their screen into consideration.
