Circulation strike mintage: (23,376) These circulated at par in the West at a time when quarter eagles were not seen in circulation in the East or Midwest.

Circulation strikes all have crosslet 4's; the Proofs all have 4's with no crosslet.

Circulation Strike
A coin struck with the intention of being released into circulation for general commerce purposes. This is opposed to Proof coins, which undergo a special manufacturing process and are not destined for general circulation.

Mint Sets - A complete set of circulation strike coins from each mint and each denomination. These were sold by the mint beginning in 1948.

The set is listed by PCGS as "the number one finest set of all time" of Indian Head $10 denomination circulation strikes. The set's weighted grade point average is 65.73 compared to a possible highest average of 66.52 of all finest known specimens.

You might need to tilt the coin to the light in various ways to discern these fine vertical lines, but they appear on every single genuine unmodified circulation strike Presidential Dollar edge that I have seen, whether it had edge lettering or not.
