Commercial grade

commercial grade A grade that is usually one level higher than the market grade; refers to a coin that is "pushed" a grade, such as an EF/AU coin (corresponding to 45+) sold as AU-50.

Commercial grade - A synonym for Market Grade.
Commercial strike - A synonym for regular strike or business strike.

COMMERCIAL GRADE
Same as Borderline, Slider Grades. Coins so referenced or graded are called, advertised, priced, and sold as eg. Gem BU when in fact they are truly graded as very nice Choice BU's, likely because they have very nice eye appeal.

Commercial grade
The highest feasible grade that could be applied to a particular coin, as a result of applying grading standards less stringently.

Technical coin grade - Mint caused blemishes may reduce the technical grade to a lower commercial grade.
