Constans était né en 320 et reçut le titre de césar le 25 décembre 333. Auguste après le 9 septembre 337 avec ses deux autres frères, Constantin II et Constance II, il ne tarda pas à se fâcher avec son frère aîné qui périt en avril 340.

Constans II and Constantine IV hexagram.
The hexagram was a large silver coin of the Byzantine Empire issued primarily during 7th century AD during the reigns of Heraclius, Constans II, and Constantine IV. It weighed about 6 grams.
