Die cracks or breaks where there is a line on the design occurring uniquely on that coin. With a die breaking each succeeding coin may have a greater degree of the die crack until the die breaks and is replaced.

The other major die crack in the letter covers the upper portion of the letter and moves to the outer ring of beads, there are also a few thin line cracks, it also extends from the top of the first stroke to the left of the letter.

Fully struck and a true gem. There are no marks on this coin. There are many clash marks and die cracks but no marks. It has wonderful orginial red color and great eye appeal.

The Denver coins, both struck from the same Obverse die, sport a long die crack from the left rim through the Indians head. It can easily be seen with a small amount of magnification.

The centers are very often flatly impressed, and this tends to give the erroneous impression of wear. A number of coins show pronounced die cracks which further weaken the overall quality of strike.
