FR-2 This is for "Fair" (the grade) and "2" (the numerical designation that means Fair). A coin that is worn out.
Fair-2 or FR-2 (Fair) - Type and date are barely discernable, but otherwise the coin is damaged or extremely worn.
Fair The grade FR-2. Fake A counterfeit or altered coin. Fantasy piece A term applied to coins struck at the whim of Mint officials. Examples include the various 1865 Motto and 1866 No Motto coins.
Fair The adjective corresponding to the grade FR-2. In this grade, there is heavy wear with the lettering, devices, and date partially visible. fake Slang for a counterfeit or altered coin.
