This iron coin is Notgeld (emergency money) issued by the City of Halle. Situated on the river Saale, Halle is the largest city in the southern part of the German State of Saxony-Anhalt.

This $1 features the design of an early cast iron post box which have typically stood on town and city streets since 1856. The reverse states "One Dollar 200 years of postal services in Australia".

If you use some small iron nails do not leave the silver coin longer in the lemon acid bath then 30 minutes maximum and use the procedure as described earlier.
