2X2 A Die-cut "fold over" elongated coin holder made of cardboard with elongated Mylar windows cut to display an elongated coin sandwiched between the two 2" x 2" stapled sides of the "pressed penny" holder.

Mylar and acetate flips do not contain PVC. However, they are hard (may scratch the coin if not inserted and removed carefully) and brittle.

Two of the most popular ways to store ancient coins are mylar (non-PVC) containers ("flips") or acid-free small paper envelopes.

However, the Mylar is so rigid that an original sheet of twenty Buffaloes cannot be conveniently stored. A sheet of twenty can be rolled like a magazine and then rubber-banded, but then storage would take a lot of space.

2x2 Cardboard - These Mylar and cardboard pieces provide excellent long-term storage for your coins while allowing you to view them. Watch to make sure the Mylar remains intact in the cardboard and refrain from use in humid areas.

This is a standard 2 inch square mylar coin flip, which is folded in half. The coin is in one pocket and the insert card is in the other.

Most coin dealers use coin holders consisting of white cardboard with a clear Mylar pocket through which you can see the coin.

A common and popular method to store coins is in 2"X 2" white cardboard folders which have Mylar/Polyester windows. These are very good and affordable holders for your more common coins and they retail for about $3.75 to $5.00 for a box of 100.

Very important especially for the more expensive materials. They should be stored in mylar acid free protective pouches.

and there are an abundance of safe holders available on the market today. These include rigid three-part plastic holders assembled with screws, small circular two-part plastic cases that fit tightly over the coin and brittle flips made of mylar.
