Note at 10-11 o'clock on the reverse that the obliquely struck metal of the flan wrapped around the edge of the die. The reverse die continued about 2 mm outside the beaded circle. Note that the obverse is flat showing that the anvil die was wider.

REVERS

When this happens, both grades should be stated with the obverse first and an oblique stroke between it and the reverse grade (VF/F means the obverse is VF and the reverse is F).

This example shows reverse B, which is distinguished by the seven string harp and the lack of alignment to the three lion heads which ascend obliquely to the left.
