Plate Number Coils (PNC)
For most coil stamp rolls beginning with #1891, a small plate number appears at varying intervals in the roll in the design of the stamp.

Examples of times when currently dated coins, might be preferred would be if a coin is pressed on a birthday visit, is a special issue for a person’s retirement or is part of a dated PNC issue etc.
