Raised Edge Proof - A Proof coin with raised (not incuse) lettering. Mainly used to refer to the 1935 Raised lettering George V Jubilee coin.

Raised Edge Proof - On the 1935 George V crown the lettering on the edge of the coin was raised to differentiate it from the incuse lettering on the circulation strikes.

Cud - A raised lump of metal on a coin caused by a piece of a die having broken off
Cull - A coin that is extremely worn and/or damaged.
Currency -Paper money / notes used for payment.

Raised elements on coins struck with treated dies that have frost in their recessed areas. Such coins have crystalline surfaces that resemble frost on a lawn.

Raised portion of the design along the edge that protects the coin from wear.

Die line
Raised lines, which appear on a coin as a result of polish lines on the die.
Die rust
Pitting or roughness appearing on a coin as a result of that coin having been struck by a rusted die.

Rim - The raised portion of a coin which protects the design from wear.
Script - Paper money other than regular government currency.
Siege Pieces - Emergency coins struck during battle, also called obsidional coins or money of necessity.

cud: a raised area on a coin caused when a chip of metal falls off a die.
cull: a coin worn almost completely smooth.

relief: Raised. In coinage and medallic numismatic items, a relief design is raised above the surface of the field. Sometimes called bas-relief. Opposite of incuse and intaglio.
replica: A copy of the original, a facsimile. A reproduction.

Cud - A raised lump of metal on a coin caused by a piece of the die breaking off, leaving an open space on the die.
Cull - A term for a coin, usually silver dollars, that are excessively worn or damaged.

rim - The raised edge of a coin created by the upsetting mill and collar. The raised edges on both sides of a coin help protect the coin's design from wear.

Die Break
Raised irregular areas on a coin, the result of metal from the planchet being forced through a portion of the DIE which has broken and fallen out during the minting process.

Rim - The raised circumference of a coin’s obverse and reverse, circling the design and protecting it from wear (not to be confused with "edge").

Milled Edge: A raised edge of a coin. Usually referred to as a rim.
Mint Mark: A small letter placed on to a coin to determine where it was minted.
Module: The diameter of a coin.

die crack A raised, irregular line on a coin, ranging from very fine to very large, some quite irregular. These result when a hairline break occurs in a die.

Milled Edge - A raised rim around the outer surface of a coin.
Mint - A manufacturing facility for producing coins. Also can refer to the act of making/striking a coin and Uncirculated (brand new) coinage.

The cents' plain raised "lip" border, without beading or dentilation, proved unsatisfactory. Evidently it did not strike up well (especially if the blanks were even slightly narrow) and the coins wore down too fast.

die scratch: Raised line on the surface of a coin, caused by a scratch in the coinage die.
die: A hardened metal punch, the face of which carries an intaglio or incuse mirror-image to be impressed on one side of a planchet.

The entire "4" is raised on the die. Thus the field around the "4" and the space on the inside of the "4" is recessed into the die.

Rim: Circular raised area around the edges of the coin.
Series: A collection of coins containing all Mint-marks and dates for the type.

3. Planchet Flaw - Raised metal, missing metal, peeling metal and annealed planchets are just a few of the mint made flaws which, if large enough, will disqualify a coin from encapsulation.

Border: A design element employing a raised circle with the outer circumference called the rim. On Liberty Head gold coins, the border consists of beads.

Business Strike: A coin which was struck for general circulation.

relief - the part of the design that is raised from the surface of the coin field (background). Example: Washington's face on a Washington quarter.
