Regular Coinage

Regular issue coinage is a term that distinguishes coins created for commerce from commemorative coins. Regular issue coins are normally produced in relatively large numbers, and are primarily meant to be used as pocket change, not collected.

regular strike Term to denote coins struck with normal coining methods on ordinarily prepared planchets. Synonymous with business strike.
relief The height of the devices of a particular coin design, expressed in relation to the fields.

Regular brass is 70% copper and 30% zinc. Our red brass wire is 90% copper, and 10% zinc, which gives it a bit warmer color. "Nickel silver" contains no sterling silver, although it is silver in color.
