Several innovations were, however, made and include the introduction of a circular one anna with a scalloped edge in 1907, a square two annas in 1918 and a bronze one pice with a centre hole in 1943.

Note that the 10-cent coin has a coarsely scalloped edge, whereas the 5-cent coin has a smooth edge. The 50-cent coin has a coarsely serrated edge as well, whereas the 1-euro coin has a finely-serrated edge, alternating with smooth areas.

The coins have an incuse "B" mint mark in the crown on the obverse of the coin. It is the only coin in the Edward VII series showing a crowned head. The scalloped edge of the coin has 12 crests, which correspond to its value of 12 pies.
