Question: I was told by a friend that star notes were worth more money than the number that is printed on the bill. I have found a few of them, is there any truth to this?

Historically, star notes hold a value slightly higher than the legal-tender value, with the amount dependent on condition and denomination.

One of the more common large-size star notes, though still desirable as such and worth a nice premium. This serial number not included in the census found in Douglas D.
