The third farthing British coin (1"12 of a penny, 1"2880 of a pound) was produced in various years between 1827 and 1913.
Third Farthing - A coin with the value of one third of a farthing, which in turn is a quarter of a penny which is again one 240th of a pound. Used in some of the colonies.

Introduction
The present pound is divided into 100 pence, but this has only been so since 1971, when over a thousand years of history was transformed on D-day (Decimalisation Day).
Half and even quarter farthing coins were minted for use in Celyon (with the halves made current in Britain itself in 1842), and third farthings were minted for many years for use in Malta. In American values, however, these are very tiny coins.
½ farthing. Small bronze coin, minted from 1830s to 1850s and used mainly overseas. Recently, I was surprised to find one dated 1844 in a drawer. Other coins included quarter and third farthing.
