What do you think about uncleaned coins lots?
I discourage beginners buying these coins. Most are rather poor condition and harder to read than better coins. This makes identification difficult even for experienced collectors.

These are uncleaned coins that provide the students the thrill of discovery. I would wager that ACE will produce an archaeologist or two through their efforts.

Original, uncleaned coins have coloration ranging from green-gold to yellow-gold and luster that is usually frosty, but a few pieces exist that are semi-prooflike. Examples of this date can be found with good eye appeal.

Elite Recommendations: Take your choice of MS-65 or Proof-65 and build a matched set with red surfaces. Pick undipped, uncleaned coins with excellent aesthetic appeal. Get set for a lot of hard work, for such coins are few and far between.
