Philately BluedBluish Paper

Bluenose - Classic Canadian stamp issued in 1929, and generally considered the most beautiful Canadian stamp ever produced, with the perfect combination of design, engraving, and color. I think it is one of the most beautiful worldwide.

Bluenose: The nickname for Canada Scott 158, the 50- issue of 1929, picturing the schooner Bluenose.

Bluenose: The nickname for the Canadian 50? issue of 1929, picturing the schooner Bluenose, Canada.

22.) Bluenose stamp (1929)
Regarded as the most beautiful and rare Canadian stamp, it was printed by the Canadian Bank Note Company to depict the Bluenose, a schooner (racing ship) from Nova Scotia.

It shows a famous old Canadian sailing ship, called "Bluenose" that used to win lots of sailing races. If you are ever in Halifax, Nova Scotia, you can see a ship called "Bluenose II" which is a copy of the old one seen in the stamp.

Bluenose: 1929 50¢ stamp considered the most beautiful Canadian stamp, depicting schooner Bluenose in full sail.
Blue Plaques: British term for stamp designs that relate to London plaques that recognize famous people and events.
