Changeling: A stamp whose colour has been changed usually due to exposure to chemicals or sunlight.

Cinderella: A label similar to a stamp that is not a postage stamp.
Classic: An early issue, which are usually rare & prized.

 


Changeling - a stamp on which the color has been changed as the result of a chemical reaction.

Changeling: A stamp whose color has been changed-intentionally or unintentionally-by contact with a chemical or exposure to light.

Color Changeling A stamp which has changed color due to chemical or climatic influences.
Combination Cover Postal envelope that bears the stamps of more than one country which was paid the postage for different portions of the journey.

Color Changeling
A stamp of which the colors have been altered or eliminated by physical or chemical tampering. Certain stamp dyes are susceptible to alteration, especially bleaching by sunlight, heat or chemicals.

Color changeling: This is a stamp whose ink or inks have changed colors since it was produced. Collectors often hope that such stamps are previously unknown errors of color or missing color errors, but they are merely damaged stamps.

Colour changeling - A postage stamp whose original colour has changed.
Colour trial - Postage stamp printed singly or in multiple in a particular shade of ink to judge aesthetic appearance, prior to final decision on the issued colour.

Some dramatic color variations occur as a result of chemical action; such stamps are called color changelings.

Champion Of Champions - An annual competition of grand award winners from APS national stamp shows.
Changeling - An ink color change caused (typically) by exposure to light, fumes or heat.

Steel blue: color changeling on the 24¢ stamp in the 1861 series.
Steel engraving: engraving stamp designs on steel dies that are then hardened to produce printing plates.
