Dead country A country that has ceased existence as a political entity, and no longer issues stamps.

 


Dead country: A stamp issuing country which no longer exists.
Definitive: Stamp that are issued in huge numbers for daily postal use.
Demonetised stamps: Stamps those are no longer valid for postal purpose.

Dead Country - A country that no longer issues stamps.
Dead Letter - Undeliverable mail.
Dead Letter Office (DLO) - Area of post office operation (branch) where undeliverable mail is stored.

Dead Country: A former stamp-issuing entity that has ceased to issue its own stamps. Also, the old name of a stamp-issuing entity that has changed its name, so that the old name will no longer be used on stamps.

A dead country is one that no longer exists as a stamp-issuing entity.
