Definitive stamps are considered to be workhorse postage, and that's actually one reason why some collectors like them so much. After all, these stamps are really used day in and day out to carry the mail: the purpose for which they are created.
Definitive Stamps Are issued for ordinary postal needs and placed on sale for an unlimited period as opposed to commemorative.
Definitive stamps are the every day stamps you see. They come in denominations from 1 cent to more than 14 dollars. They usually have pictures of Presidents or famous people. Every country has Definative Stamps.

A definitive stamp (as opposed to commemorative, special, or service-specific stamps) is one issued as a work-horse of the postal system.
Definitive: Stamp issued for an indefinite period and in indefinite quantity, usually for several years or more. The United States Presidential issue of 1938 and the Transportation coil stamps are examples.
