Hairlines: Fine lines across the face of a stamp caused by plate cracks. Highway Post Office (HPO): Portable mail-handling equipment for sorting mail in transit on highways (normally by truck). The last official U.S. HPO ran June 30, 1974.
Hairlines Thin, shallow scratches on the surface of a coin, usually caused by improper cleaning, or mishandling.
Thickness: Art must be above ΒΌ point and with no hairlines. Fonts: Type must be five points or larger for best results. For reversed type the point size should be 12 point or larger, smaller type can fill in.
