Lindbergh and the Airmail Lindbergh couldn't stop in every city in the U.S., but after his post-transatlantic flight tour, millions had seen him and he had been the main factor in convincing Americans to use the new airmail service.

Still others collect "Lincolniana," "Lindberghiana," and similar selected subjects. Such limiting of collecting to the pictures on the stamps leads to one of the most fascinating forms of collecting - the "subject" or "topical" collection.
