Maximaphily

Philately MatMaximum card

Maximaphily is a branch of philately involving the study and creation of maximum cards.[1] It is one of eleven classifications of philately recognised by the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) and therefore has its own FIP Commission.

 


Maximaphily: Maximum card collecting.
maximum card: A picture postcard, a cancel, and a stamp presenting maximum concordance. The stamp is usually affixed to the picture side of the card and is tied by the cancel.

Maximaphily
When you travel, the most important thing next to your passport is getting a postcard. Not only that, you take time to find a matching post stamp and stamp cancels to go with your postcard. This is the philosophy of maximaphily.

Maximaphily - Refers to hobby of collecting maximum cards.
Maximum Card - A picture postcard that includes a stamp with a cancellation mark, ideally appearing together in harmony.
