Postal Card - A government-produced postcard which includes a pre-paid postage imprint in its upper-right corner.
Postal History - The study post-related history, such as rates, markings, processes, etc.

*Postal Card - a mailing card produced by the post office, as opposed to a privately produced post card. A postal card has a stamp-like indicium. Postal Cards were first issued in 1873.

Postal cards differ from postcards, which are commercially produced and require the application of a postage stamp or a postage imprint for mailing. Postal cards are ideal for posting a short message or notice and cost less to mail than a letter.
