They are about one half the size of the standard 3-½ by 5-½ inch postcard. They have stamp boxes and are often postally used. The most desirable are those by the Scandinavian artist or publisher John Winsch.
While this almost always results in a nice clear cancel that does not obstruct the design, catalogs consider them used and most of our members consider cancelled to order stamps less desirable than postally used stamps.
