SOUVENIR SHEET: A small sheet of stamps issued for a specific commemorative purpose, with inscription or artwork in its border. Usually issued in conjunction with a stamp show.

Souvenir Sheet: A small sheet containing one or more stamps, often with a commemorative inscription. Usually has a wide margin (or selvage) and an inscription describing an event being commemorated.

Souvenir Sheet - Stamps issued in a special format primarily for stamp collectors. Most souvenir sheets include only one of each stamp design and usually have a special decorative border.

A souvenir sheet or miniature sheet is a small group of postage stamps still attached to the sheet on which they were printed.

The souvenir sheet issued in 1984 to commemorate the National Philatelic Exhibition in Montréal contained four stamps that featured steam locomotives, and the selvedge depicted a line drawing of a locomotive alongside the logo of the exhibition.

This souvenir sheet for the 1978 Canadian Philatelic Exhibition (CAPEX) had an innovative sheet layout, lending itself to two very different ways of separating and displaying the stamps.

There were two formats, a souvenir sheet containing one each of 40-, 46-, and 80-cents values, and a sheet of the 40-cents value.

The writer has used them, happily, for mint plate blocks and for souvenir sheets and full sheets. Though mounts are naturally more expensive than one or two hinges, they keep the material flat and "unhinged," and that is quite important in resale.

On top of that, if you want to fill all of the pages in a stamp album for that country, you will need to collect souvenir sheets, booklet stamps, self-adhesives, official mail stamps, air-mail stamps, etc.
