Statue of Liberty Stamp Goof
It is all good and well to issue another stamp picturing the Statue of Liberty. But it would be to everyone's benefit if the stamp could picture...The Statue of Liberty.

 


The Statue of Liberty alone is enough to build an entire collection. For history buffs or political junkies, U.S. treaties would be an interesting subject for a collection of worldwide stamps.

Recently I made some maximum cards for the Statue of Liberty stamp that just came out. I saw some old and beautiful postcards of the Statue of Liberty at night.

Some rolls of the 34¢ Statue of Liberty WAG issue that were printed on British Paper exhibit ‘Ghost Numbers'. These are faint images of back numbers that occur at intervals between the normal positions of the back numbers on the stamps.

More recently, to celebrate the Statue of Liberty's 100th birthday in 1986, the US and France issued similar stamps depicting Lady Liberty.
