Double Strike. A double impression of the die, or transfer roll, whole or in part, onto the plate.
Duty Plate. The plate used in the production of bicolored stamps in which the value appears.

Transit strike - A handstamp applied during the transit of a letter between the offices of posting and destination.
Travelling Post Office - A mail train in which the post is sorted and cancelled with TPO marks.
Banta in 1894, during the San Francisco mail strike. Special adhesives were issued for the service as well, and these stamps (and covers) are quite rare and desirable.
