A strip of attached margin paper often was used to affix the pane or panes to the inside of the cover. While this selvage is of little use to a mailer, a collector of booklet stamps demands that it remain attached to the pane.

Pairs, strips, or blocks of stamps of different values or designs printed together. Such se-tenant stamps should not normally be split by collectors.

This "Feuchtwanger strip" is a crude variety of encased postage about which I have been unable to learn anything definitive.

Coil stamps - Postage stamps issued in the form of a long strip, one stamp wide, in the form of a tight roll issued either from a machine or by a hand dispenser. The postage stamps can be arranged in a coil side by side or one above the other.

They consist of a transparent front with two strips connected to the edge of the front. There is adhesive on the back of the two strips, thus allowing the stamps to be enclosed in the mount then affixed to the display.

These are loose leaf folders with special plastic pages in them, and several strips of plastic running across them. These strips make a number of wide pockets into which you slip your stamps.

When the stamps are produced on rotary presses in a continuous strip, the sprockets are small wheels that make a continuous row of perforations in one direction.

You can purchase them pre-cut or in strips that you can cut yourself. They come in various sizes to fit the most common sizes of stamps issued. Sometimes you may need to fold one end of the mount to make the stamp fit more snugly in the mount.

Coil stamps, postal stationery, coils of stamps were first made up from strips cut from stamps sheets. Stationery items like envelop, letter sheet, post card, aérogramme or newspaper wrapper, with an imprinted stamp is an example of postal stationary.

Sheets of stamps may or may not have a gutter strip. These gutter strips may be illustrated or contain 'traffic lights' (circles of colour).

Coil stamps are kept imperforate at top and bottom, or at the two sides, with perforations on the two other sides, as the case may be. This makes for smooth operation in removing the stamps in strips from the vending machine.

He formed a collection of fiscal stamps in an album in 1774.

The world's largest stamp is the China Special Delivery issue (1913-1914)it was printed in strips with five different designs. The entire stamp measures 247mm by 65mm.
