Sweatbox: A closed box containing dampened spongelike material, over which stuck-together unused stamps are placed on a grill. Humidity softens the gum, allowing separation of stamps.
You also can attempt using a sweatbox, Figure 5. These, too, are commercially available, but you can make your own. You will need a plastic container with a tight fitting lid and a sponge. Put a half-inch of water in the bottom of the container.
