The modern Nikon made AI lenses are the AF-S Nikkor, AF-I Nikkor, AF Nikkor D and Nikkor AI-S types. The discontinued Nikkor AI and Nikon Series E lenses are also AI types.
This old AI lens has no distortion at any distance, possible better than the AI-s at close range, and the AI has very little light falloff, even at f/2.8.

The modified C to AI lens(rated as 9.0) showed that it was just modified by the fresh rough cutting surface and dirty particles are everywhere of lens. What can I say? Cheating or Honest? I then returned this lens to B&H used dept.
