You'll notice that the aperture lever should, on auto lenses at least, line up with a prong inside the lens body. Push your stop-down button (or aperture pin on M42 lenses) to ensure that the aperture is opening and closing properly.
What is the least priced Nikon which can use non-HSM lenses? I love Nikon's overall quality, but feel like I'm being taken advantage of by the elimination of motorized bodies for non-motorized auto lenses. I think it's time to change?
This is because your auto single lens reflex (SLR) camera with an auto lens allows you to focus with the aperture blades wide open and out of the way.
