A transparent GIF (Graphics Interchange Format) is an image file that has one colour assigned to be "transparent" so that the assigned colour will be replaced by the browser's background colour, whatever it may be.

 


Having decided on your background colour, attach the correct filter or filters, set the aperture at the initial exposure plus the exposure increase listed in the table and photograph the black-on-white lettering or drawing.

4. Click the ‘Set background colour' swatch and set the colours to Red 255, Green 245, Blue 215 in the Colour Picker
5. Click ‘OK'
6. Layer ...

The colour on top is your foreground colour. The colour under is the background colour. The background layer is used when making gradient fills, or when you erase something off your “background' layer.

Tools Palette
Currently, the foreground colour is set to White
and the background colour is set to Black.

3c: SHUTTERSPEED. Increase shutter speed - A LOT, less light will hit sensor but you will freeze any motion, and people may not be a "soft" as they would like to appear. this makes for very vibrant background colours of a sunset too sometimes.
