Vacuum back is a camera back with a perforated plate through which air is drawn by a pump. A sheet of film is therefore sucked flat against the plate and held firmly during exposure.

Colouring in your camera back window with black felt tip pen, as I've heard some people earnestly suggest, clearly won't do a damn thing as felt tip pen ink on a clear piece of plastic doesn't even block much regular light.

However failing this you could look for a viewpoint higher up so that you don't have to tilt the camera backwards.

Aim your camera back to the object you want to photograph and take the shot. The difference being, this time no focal point will light up or blink. However, the image quality should be very similar to the first photograph you took in step 3.

Have you ever picked up your camera, all excited about going out and getting some great shots, only to see that it is a cloudy day and, disheartened, put your camera back in the bag and look for some other activity?

Reverse Adapter: An adapter ring that permits a normal lens to be mounted onto a camera backwards for improved results when taking extreme close-up photos.

Here the lens can be moved in parallel with the film level (camera back wall). Fish-eye lenses are very extreme wide-angle lenses which can bring everything that is in front (and with some also what is behind) the camera in to the picture.

If condensation does happen, open the battery and memory compartments, empty them and keep the compartments open until they dry out. Don't take your camera back outside if there is condensation in/on it. It is possible it will freeze.

I would also add that, if at all possible, remove the door (helicopter) or open a window (airplane). It might not always be possible, but it helps a ton. It's also important to keep the camera back and out of the slipstream going past the window to ...

Focusing is difficult and needs practice as you only have a few mm in which to focus, so move camera backwards and forwards until you can focus.
Use Auto focus to start with then try manual focus later.

Front shift is 7mm from center each way. Swings are limited to 8 degrees either way, front and rear. There is no rear shift on this camera. The camera back can accept any standard Graflock accessory.
