A general description of black & white photography, but can also describe a single colour image.
Chromes main asset is its speed. Yes, it is faster than Firefox but, speed should not be what defines your browser.
Kodachrome is a very challenging emulsion to scan. Not every scanner is capable of producing satisfying results. Often you'll receive gastly blue casts. Color calibrating the scanner using a SilverFast Kodachrome IT8 target would be a great help.

Monochrome Afterimages
If a black object on a white background (or vice versa) is being focused on for several seconds, and then a white area is being focused on, a negative afterimage is perceived. The afterimage may last for one to two minutes.

One color. Monitors, for example, can be monochrome, grayscale or color. Monochrome monitors actually use two colors, one for the display image (the foreground) and one for the background.

Keep this around for when you need to travel lightly. You can use it for any speed between 100 and 1000. Pop it in, choose an ISO. When you develop, don't forget to tell them what you shot it at.
A chrome object is hard to photograph because it's so reflective. Because of the reflections, it needs to be lit indirectly, using light and dark cards that are reflected in it's shiny surface.
Monochrome photographs are timeless, especially black and white photographs. They enhance emotional substance and have a disposition of making photos look more artistic.

The monochrome option is checked. The Red, Green, and Blue sliders are adjusted to maximize the amount of detail. Moving a slider to the right increases the amount of detail taken from that channel.

I like Fujichrome Velvia for topside myself, and the slow ISO 50 is fine for most midday subjects.

Kodak Ektachrome 22 paper is a reversal color paper that, when exposed to a slide, produces a positive color image of the slide. Kodak Ektachrome 22 paper is processed in Kodak Ektachrome R-3000 chemicals.
You can use an ordinary slide film such as Fujichrome or Ektachrome if you have only a few originals that you want to duplicate. Grain is a problem, so use a slow ISO 50 film for best result. Normal films will give very contrasty duplicates.

This is the standard process for virtually all slide type films apart from Kodachrome (Kodak) and Scala (Agfa) which have thier own processes. If you purchased your film 'process paid' just put the film in the envelope provided and send it off.
