Color Balance
Getting the color right can be the most difficult part of photo editing but a little knowledge of how the colors are made will make this much easier.
Color Balance Setting or actual representation of colors of a scene. Color films are made to be exposed by light of a certain color quality such as daylight or tungsten.

The Color Balance layer was added just above the Reflections layer. The Color Balance layer was then turned into a clipping mask (click between the Reflections layer and the Color Balance layer while holding down the Alt key).
The color balance is tricky to get right in the printing stage unless the lab has a balance neg for Reala. I had almost given up on using Reala when I finally found a lab that does it right. The results are great now.

Technology has made many aspects of photography automatic. Cameras focus for you, set the color balance and determine the exposure. Some adjust for your shaky hand or identify and focus on the faces of people in your picture.
Luckily I photograhed in RAW format so could open the file in my editor and change the color balance to 'daylight'. This resulted in a much better color tone in the tree.

To adjust the brightness and contrast of a black and white image, or to adjust the brightness and color balance of a color image, go to the Image menu and choose "Adjust." A submenu appears with 15 options.
You could try turning off white balance altogether or even experiment with any of the other manual settings to find a color balance that suits your visual needs. Either way is a better bet than giving the decision to the camera.
