-Tri-color filters - filters in deep primarily colors used to expose color prints by the additive method.
-Trigger - term used to describe a shutter release.

Color filters are often used in front of the lens to selectively block some colors while passing others (similar to how color filters are used for each pixel in a digital camera's bayer array).

4-color filters (RGBE)
If you're new to digital photography you may wish to read the Digital Photography Glossary before diving into this article (it may help you understand some of the terms used).

A mosaic array of color filters placed over the pixel elements of an image sensor to record color information. The Bayer pattern is most commonly used and is comprised of 50% green, 25% red, and 25% blue filters.

The exposure phase of a type C print is accomplished using a traditional photographic enlarger, using color filters to adjust the color balance of the print.

Filter Wheel Black and white CCD cameras use color filters to separate the three primary colors (red, green, and blue) in order to produce full color images.

These photometers take these measurements through tricolor filters. On-easel measurements are made conveniently by placing a small probe on the reference area of the projected image on the baseboard.

The Harris Shutter: This device uses three color filters in rapid succession in front of your lens to make an image. The Harris shutter makes three exposures of a scene through a different color filter.

In theory one could use color filters to overcome the blue-green shift, but this can be problematic. The amount of shift would vary with depth and turbidity, and there would still be a significant loss of contrast.

Using the other two tone masks and corresponding color filters, make two more exposures with the same sheet of color paper, as described in step 7.

First the image goes through color filters above the individual sensors. The sensor converts the image from light waves into an analog electrical signal.

Most consumer digicams however work with sensors coated with color filters to capture an image with one exposure. Each pixel will represent a mixture of red, green and blue ranging in brightness from 0 to 255.

In addition, he used color filters specifically made for black and white photography that darkened the sky dramatically. The way they work is they lighten their own colors and darken the complementary colors.

Since different devices use different technology (an LCD uses light and color filters to render pixels while an inkjet puts ink onto a paper), you need color management to make the picture look the same on either of them.

Included in the kit is a pair of R-200 flash units, a dazzling array of adaptor rings to fit virtually any front filter mount Nikkor lens, a set of color filters for the flash head, a pair of mini soft boxes, and several other accessories.

Since the advent of color photography there has been an immense change in the world of fine art photography as now photographers can use various color filters to bring out certain hidden characteristics in any painting.

The single shot usually works with sensors coated with color filters to capture an image with one exposure.

In other words, by playing with the channel mixer in Photoshop you can get the same look as having used various color filters over the lens with B/W film.

Filters: Filters are frequently used to alter contrast or color (e.g., polarizers, split neutral density, and color filters). Even thought their use may create an effect different than what was seen by the eye.

Colour filters let through light of a certain colour better than light of other colours. Early colour filters were cuvettes which could be filled with coloured water. Nowadays color filters consist of only one glass plate which is coated with a ...

The gray balance was in between the two color temperatures (about 4000 K). The candles appeared warm, and the flash light already turned a little blue. No color filters were required. Try different time (aperture) variations.
